Vrontos Waterfall
Vrontos Waterfall takes its name from the characteristic “vrontos” — the thunderous roar produced by its waters as they plunge from a height of 17 meters before joining the Alpheios River. The waterfall played an important role in the history of the region, as its waters powered the water‑driven gunpowder mills of Dimitsana, at Ai‑Giannis. This high‑quality gunpowder supplied the fighters of the Greek Revolution.
